Needle roller bearings have low cross-section, are stiff and have high load carrying capacity. They are very useful for bearing arrangements which have limited radial space. The needle roller bearings carry only pure radial load. They cannot limit the axial displacement of shaft relative to the housing. It is important to ensure that outer ring axis and inner ring axis are aligned during mounting the bearings.
